Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

Last updated: 2026-06-05

Draft notice: This document is a starting draft and is pending review by legal counsel. It describes our current intended terms but is not yet final.

These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the HackTool website, the HackTool desktop application, and any associated tool packs (collectively, the “Software”) provided by hacktool.io (“HackTool”, “we”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and an active subscription, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the HackTool desktop application on a single device. The license is validated per device; activating a new device deactivates the previous one. The license is for your own use and may not be shared, sublicensed, resold, or used by multiple users concurrently.

2. Subscription and Billing

  • The base subscription is $19/month, billed in advance through Stripe. Optional tool packs may be purchased separately.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable for partial periods. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice.
  • Your right to use the desktop application depends on an active subscription and a valid license. If your subscription lapses, the license may be deactivated.

3. Acceptable Use

HackTool is a security testing tool intended solely for authorized security testing. You may only scan, probe, or test systems, networks, and applications that you own or for which you have explicit, prior written authorization from the owner.

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Software against any target without proper authorization or permission to test it.
  • Use the Software for any unlawful purpose, to gain unauthorized access, to exfiltrate data, or to cause damage or disruption.
  • Violate any applicable computer crime, anti-hacking, privacy, or export-control laws in your jurisdiction or the target’s jurisdiction.
  • Reverse engineer, circumvent licensing, or redistribute the Software except as expressly permitted.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have authorization for every target you test and for your use of the Software. Unauthorized testing of systems is illegal in most jurisdictions.

4. Intellectual Property

The Software, including all code, designs, and trademarks, is owned by HackTool and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. This Agreement grants you a license to use the Software, not ownership of it. Third-party and open-source components are licensed under their respective terms.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Software will detect every vulnerability, that results will be complete or error-free, or that the Software will be uninterrupted. Security testing results are informational and require professional judgment.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HackTool will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Software — including any damage to systems you test. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your license and access if you breach this Agreement — in particular the Acceptable Use section — or if your subscription is not in good standing. Upon termination, your license ends and you must stop using the Software. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive termination.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION TO BE DETERMINED], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [VENUE TO BE DETERMINED]. The specific governing law and venue will be finalized during legal review.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update this Agreement as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
